Bedford Row Family Project

The Bedford Row Family Project is a Registered Charity that supports families affected by imprisonment. Staff work at the Hospitality Centre outside Limerick Prison that seeks to ease the burden of those visiting their loved ones.  The Project works with children and their parents to ‘break the cycle’ of imprisonment through the generations.  By including prisoners/ex-prisoners, it is recognised that an imprisoned parent has a significant place in his/her child’s life both when in Prison and on release.

The support from the JP McManus Pro- Am 2010, enabled the Bedford Row Family Project to purchase a people carrier necessary for the project’s Children’s Groups.

  • The funds from the JP McManus Benevolent Fund will refurbish the Bedford Row Family Project building, hardly touched since 1999.
