About Us

Who We Are

The JP McManus Benevolent Fund aims to support local community initiatives and non-profit organisations throughout the Mid-West of Ireland. Valued at €40 million, the Fund is managed as a sole entity, independent of any existing programmes sponsored by Mr McManus.

The Committee

(L-R) Noel Earlie, Mark Power, Helen O’Donnell, Andrew Birmingham. (Seated) Sue Ann Foley and Gerard Boland.

What We Do

We contribute much needed funding to programmes that provide vital services to the community and people that make it come to life. These projects have shown how significant they are to the local community and the development of important initiatives in the Mid-West of Ireland.

Awards Granted

The JP McManus Benevolent Fund is proud to have helped over 70 important community programmes reach their full potential. Since the beginning of the Benevolent Fund 45 projects have commenced. These awards have played a crucial role in shaping not only the programmes themselves but the areas that surround them.
